FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
317 PM EDT MON MAY 30 2016

...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON...

.DISCUSSION...LESS HUMID AIR HAS SPILLED INTO NORTHERN MICHIGAN
THROUGHOUT THE DAY AS HIGH PRESSURE SETTLED ATOP THE GREAT LAKES.
SEVERAL LOCATIONS THIS AFTERNOON HAVE HIT ELEVATED FIRE DANGER DUE
TEMPERATURES NEAR 80 DEGREES AND WINDS OCCASIONALLY GUSTING 20-25
MPH. THESE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH 7-8 PM THIS
EVENING BEFORE TEMPERATURES BEGIN TO FALL AND WINDS DECREASE.

DECENT RH RECOVERY EXPECTED OVERNIGHT WITH MAINLY CLEAR AND QUIET
CONDITIONS. ASIDE FROM A GRADUAL INCREASE IN CLOUD COVER TOMORROW...THE
NEXT THREAT FOR WIDESPREAD RAINFALL ARRIVES IN THE FORM OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH A COLD FRONT EXPECTED TO ARRIVE ON WEDNESDAY.
