Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
406 AM MDT Mon Jun 26 2017

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
TUESDAY EVENING FOR THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND
CENTRAL COLORADO FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS...

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...High pressure moving over the
Central Rockies will bring warmer temperatures and lower relative
humidities today. There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms
south of Interstate 70. If any storms form, they will be high-
based and produce gusty winds up to 40 mph and light to moderate
rainfall.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...Gusty westerly
winds combined with low relative humidity will produce critical
fire weather conditions across the mountain valleys of central and
north central Colorado on Tuesday. Downslope flow east of the
mountains will result in hot and dry conditions across the Front
Range Urban Corridor and adjacent plains. An upper level trough of
low pressure and associated weak cold fronts will bring cooler
temperatures and higher humidity to the region from Wednesday
through Friday... resulting in a lessoning of the fire danger.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
