FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
407 AM EST TUE JAN 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...

AFTER A DRY START...A WINTER MIX OF PRECIPITATION MOVES INTO THE
INTERIOR THIS AFTERNOON WHILE COASTAL AREAS HAVE MAINLY RAIN. THIS
VARIETY OF WEATHER WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY.

LIGHT EAST WINDS TODAY WILL INCREASE TONIGHT...WITH GUSTS NEAR 30
MPH ALONG THE COAST WEDNESDAY. THE MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL
BE 45 TO 60 PERCENT TODAY AND 80 TO 90 PERCENT WEDNESDAY.

.OUTLOOK...THURSDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...

CLOUDS WILL LINGER INTO THURSDAY. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS ACROSS THE
REGION WITH DRY WEATHER AND SEASONABLY MILD TEMPERATURES THROUGH
THE WEEKEND. A WEAK WEATHER SYSTEM PASSING SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND
COULD BRING SOME LIGHT RAIN TO PARTS OF CONNECTICUT...RHODE
ISLAND...AND SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS FRIDAY NIGHT.
