FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
236 PM CDT FRI MAY 22 2015

.DISCUSSION...
DRY AIR WILL REMAIN IN PLACE COURTESY OF AN AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE
THAT WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST OFF THE ATLANTIC COAST ON SATURDAY. A
MORE MOIST SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES ON SUNDAY...ESPECIALLY IN NORTHWESTERN ALABAMA.

AS AN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM MOVES EAST TOWARD THE TENNESSEE VALLEY
FROM TEXAS ON SUNDAY WINDS WILL INCREASE MARKEDLY. THIS COMBINED
WITH LOWER MIXING HEIGHTS WILL REDUCE DISPERSION INDEX VALUES. A
FEW AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS COULD OCCUR SUNDAY IN NORTHWESTERN
ALABAMA.
