FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
259 PM CDT TUE JUL 7 2015

.DISCUSSION...
A RETURN OF VERY WARM TO HOT WEATHER IS FORECAST ACROSS
NORTHERN ALABAMA FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEK. ALONG WITH
THE HEAT...RESIDUAL MOISTURE WILL MAKE FOR RATHER MUGGY
CONDITIONS. HEAT INDICES IN THE MID 90S TO AROUND 103 ARE
POSSIBLE BY THE END OF THE WEEK. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES
DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS WILL BE REDUCED INTO THE MID/UPPER
40S PERCENT RANGE...WITH LATE NIGHT HUMIDITY VALUES RISING
INTO THE UPPER 90S PERCENT RANGE.

STRONG DAYTIME HEATING...ALONG WITH RESIDUAL MOISTURE AND
BOUNDARY INTERACTION WILL LEAD TO ISOLATED SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT ON WEDNESDAY...MAINLY IN AND NEAR
THE HIGHER TERRAIN IN NORTHEAST ALABAMA. GUSTY WINDS AND
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ACCOMPANY THE STRONGER STORMS.
PATCHY FOG AROUND DAYBREAK IS ALSO POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN
SHELTERED VALLEYS AND NEAR BODIES OF WATER. SOUTHWEST
TRANSPORT WINDS IN THE 15-20 MPH RANGE WILL MAINTAIN GOOD
SMOKE DISPERSION VALUES BOTH TODAY AND ON WEDNESDAY.
