Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
605 AM PDT Wed Jul 26 2017

...Gusty Winds and Low Relative Humidity Thursday afternoon and evening...

.DISCUSSION...

More hot and dry weather can be expected today under light winds,
which has the potential for rapid fire growth. A weak disturbance
will brush to the southeast of the region tonight into Thursday,
bringing an increase of high clouds and small chance of a dry
thunderstorm for the central Idaho Panhandle. Expect slightly
cooler temperatures and locally breezy westerly winds for Thursday
and even Friday. A very dry airmass will remain over the region
through the weekend and into early next week with a return of hot
temperatures and light winds. Anticipate low relative humidities
during the day and areas of poor humidity recovery at night
especially ridge tops.

***************************************************************
Forecasts for 20 foot wind speeds (valleys and ridge tops) are
10 minute averages reflecting RAWS wind.
