Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NW Oregon and SW Washington
National Weather Service Portland OR
846 AM PDT Wed Jun 28 2017

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...There will be little change in the weather
today with onshore flow maintaining a marine influence and
seasonal temperatures. An upper ridge of high pressure moves over
the district tonight through Friday for less inland clouds in the
morning, and warmer inland afternoon temperatures. A weak upper
trough will return deep marine pushes and seasonal temperatures
for the weekend.

.DISCUSSION...Marine clouds reaching into the Cascade foothills
have resulted in excellent overnight humidity recoveries. These
clouds will clear in the afternoon with temperatures today being
very similar to what was observed yesterday. Onshore flow
continues, and may result in gusty winds for the Central Columbia
River Gorge this afternoon and evening. High pressure builds
tonight with the upper ridge axis moving over the district
Thursday and Friday. Weak onshore winds will maintain some marine
influence and overnight humidity recoveries will still be good. A
weak upper trough will move over the area Friday evening and
Saturday for increased onshore winds, deeper marine pushes and
temperatures cooling to the seasonal normals.
