FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA AND SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PHOENIX AZ
151 AM MST FRI DEC 2 2016

.DISCUSSION...

VERY STRONG WINDY CONDITIONS WILL BEGIN FRIDAY MORNING LASTING
THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT FOR SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND THE LOWER
COLORADO RIVER AREA. THE WINDS WILL BE OUT OF THE NORTH AT 35-45 MPH
WITH GUSTS APPROACHING 50 MPH. FURTHERMORE, MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES WILL DROP IN THE 10 TO 15 PERCENT RANGE THUS RESULTING IN
ELEVATED FIRE DANGER FOR THOSE AREAS. THE WINDS IN SOUTH-CENTRAL
ARIZONA, INCLUDING THE GREATER PHOENIX AREA AND THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
IN GILA COUNTY, WILL EXPERIENCE MUCH WEAKER WINDS AND MINIMUM RH
VALUES IN THE 15 TO 25 PERCENT RANGE. MOST AREAS WILL HAVE FAIR
OVERNIGHT RH RECOVERY.
