Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
307 PM CST Wed Feb 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Northeast Texas and southeast Oklahoma warmed quickly as skies became sunny this morning
with afternoon relative humidities falling to between 40 and 50 percent, while further
east across much of Arkansas and Louisiana, clouds only gradually broke up, and relative
humidities only fell to between 50 to 60 percent. Thursday will see same basic conditions,
except for limited cloud cover allowing temperatures to rise to around 80 degrees, and south
winds increasing to either side of 10 to 15 mph. A weak cold front will bring lower relative
humidities of 20 to 30 percent over northwest half of area, and these lower humidities will
likely occur areawide on Saturday. These humidities will slowly increase to between 30 and 40
percent on Sunday, with rain chances returning for early next week.
