Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest Arkansas...
Northwest Louisiana...East Texas...and Extreme Southeast Oklahoma
National Weather Service Shreveport LA
335 PM CDT Mon Mar 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Mostly cloudy skies today kept afternoon relative humidities generally
between 50 and 70 percent with southwest winds around 10 mph, with a few gusts
to near 20 mph. Tuesday will see similar general conditions with a few breaks in
morning clouds by midday. However, winds will be from the south to southeast.
South winds will increase into the day Wednesday, and cloud cover will increase
in advance of a strong storm system that will dump heavy rain, and possibly bring
severe weather, across the area late Wednesday through Wednesday night. Relative
humidity may fall to around 50 percent over northern Louisiana, with afternoon
highs rising to the lower to middle 80s. Slightly cooler and drier airmass arriving late
Thursday. However, increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms again by late in
the weekend.
