FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TOPEKA KS
442 AM CDT THU APR 28 2016

.DISCUSSION...
RECENT RAINS AND COOL TEMPERATURES WILL PRECLUDE ANY FIRE
WEATHER CONCERNS TODAY.

A WEAK RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE AT THE SURFACE WILL BUILD
THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS TODAY CAUSING WINDS TO BLOW FROM
THE NORTHWEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH AND KEEP TEMPS RELATIVELY COOL.
BECAUSE OF THE COOLER WEATHER...MIN RH VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO
BE 45 PERCENT OF HIGHER. THEREFORE FIRE DANGER IS FORECAST TO
BE LOW TODAY. MIXING HEIGHTS AND TRANSPORTS WINDS SHOULD
COMBINED TO PROVIDE FAIR TO GOOD CONDITIONS FOR SMOKE
DISPERSAL.

THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO MOVE OVER THE AREA
LATE TONIGHT AND THROUGH THE EVENING FRIDAY. ANOTHER ROUND OF
SOAKING RAINS ARE ANTICIPATED WITH A HALF TO ONE INCH OF RAIN
POSSIBLE FOR MOST AREAS. RAIN CHANCES REMAIN IN THE FORECAST
THROUGH MONDAY AND TEMPS ARE LIKELY TO REMAIN ON THE COOL
SIDE. A GRADUAL WARM UP IS EXPECTED BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT
WEEK.
