...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
GUSTY WEST/SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 20-25 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED OVER FAR
SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST ARIZONA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING. WINDS EXPECTED TO BECOME LIGHTER ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND MOJAVE DESERT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. BREEZY
SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 10-15 MPH DEVELOP SUNDAY AND MONDAY AFTERNOONS.
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE SOUTHERN SIERRA
EACH AFTERNOON INTO THE WEEKEND.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE EXCESSIVE HEAT ACROSS THE DESERTS
THROUGH THE WEEKEND. MORE COOLING WILL OCCUR OVER THE NEXT COUPLE
OF DAYS THROUGH THE INLAND VALLEYS AND ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS. A
SHALLOW MARINE LAYER WILL HELP KEEP HUMIDITY HIGHER AND
TEMPERATURES LOWER ALONG THE COAST. BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP
AGAIN ALONG THE DESERT SLOPES OF THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
MOUNTAINS AND THIS WILL OCCUR EACH OF THE NEXT FEW NIGHTS WITH
GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH, PERHAPS TO AROUND 35 MPH LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND EARLY THIS EVENING FOR A FEW HOURS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

VERY HOT CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND, WITH ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY CONFINED TO FAR EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN
PARTS OF ARIZONA. HUMIDITY WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE THIS WEEKEND, BUT
HUMIDITY VALUES WILL STILL FALL TO NEAR 10-15% FOLLOWING FAIR
OVERNIGHT RECOVERY. DEEP BOUNDARY-LAYER MIXING WILL RESULT IN VERY
HIGH HAINES INDICES APPROACHING 6 DURING THE AFTERNOON. WINDS WILL
GENERALLY REMAIN LIGHT AND ONLY HAVE THE TYPICAL AFTERNOON UPSLOPE
GUSTS AND OVERNIGHT DRAINAGE COMPONENTS.
