This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Scattered thunderstorms will linger south of interstate 80 through
mid morning before they diminish. A few storms may still be able
to produce heavy rain and flash flooding. Frequent cloud to
ground lightning will also be a threat until the storms end.

After the clouds and rain end, increasing heat and humidity will
produce afternoon heat index readings in the middle to upper 90s
across portions of east central and southeast Iowa, northeast
Missouri, and west central Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Unseasonably warm temperatures and high humidity will combine to
produce heat index readings in the low to mid 90s Friday, and in
the lower 90s for Saturday afternoon.

Thunderstorm chances return to the Outlook Area from late Monday
into Tuesday. It is too early to determine if there will be any
severe weather threat early next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today and tonight, but
reports of any flooding from last evening though this morning
would be appreciated.
