THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR APACHE...COCONINO...
NORTHERN GILA...NAVAJO...AND YAVAPAI COUNTIES IN NORTHERN
ARIZONA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MANY AREAS ABOVE
5500 FEET. SEE PHXWSWFGZ FOR DETAILS.

THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF STORMS AFFECTING THE REGION MOVED THROUGH
ARIZONA OVERNIGHT. AREAS OF RAIN AND SNOW HAVE BECOME SCATTERED IN
NATURE AS THE SYSTEM MOVES TO THE EAST.

RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL BECOME MORE FREQUENT AND WIDESPREAD
LATE THIS MORNING AND IN THE AFTERNOON. EXPECT AN EXTENDED PERIOD
OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND SNOW BY THIS EVENING AND INTO THE
NIGHT AS ANOTHER STORM MOVES INTO THE STATE. THE MOST INTENSE AND
STEADY PRECIPITATION WILL RESIDE ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE MOGOLLON
RIM.

SNOW LEVELS CURRENTLY RANGE FROM 4500 TO 5500 FEET ACROSS THE
REGION...BUT WILL RISE SLIGHTLY TO 5000 TO 6000 FEET THIS EVENING.
SNOW LEVELS WILL FALL AGAIN TO NEAR 4500 FEET BY SATURDAY MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

AREAS OF MODERATE RAIN AND SNOW WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST AND TAPER
OFF TO SHOWERS DURING THE DAY SATURDAY.

THE WINTER STORM WARNING ABOVE 5500 FEET WILL EXPIRE AT NOON MST
FOR WESTERN AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE WARNING...AND HAS BEEN
EXTENDED UNTIL 6PM MST FOR EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE WARNING. SEE

A THIRD STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE REGION AS
EARLY AS SUNDAY AFTERNOON...LASTING THROUGH AT LEAST MONDAY.
TIMING AND DETAILS REMAIN UNCERTAIN WITH THIS STORM. THERE IS A
GOOD CHANCE FOR MORE SIGNIFICANT RAIN AND SNOW ACROSS THE AREA
BY LATE SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS SOUTH OF THE MOGOLLON RIM MAY REACH 2 TO 3
INCHES BY SATURDAY MORNING AFTERNOON...WHICH MAY CAUSE SOME
FLOODING ISSUES IN YAVAPAI AND NORTHERN GILA COUNTIES.

EACH STORM WILL CONTAIN GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS THAT WILL PRODUCE
SEVERELY REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
