THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A HAZARDOUS
SEAS WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.

* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 KT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING THEN INCREASING
  TO NORTH 20 TO 30 KT SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY. WINDS
  WILL PEAK AT THE HIGHER END OF THIS RANGE IN THE AFTERNOONS AND
  EVENINGS. WINDS MAY STRENGTHEN FURTHER TO 20 TO 30 KT WITH GUSTS
  TO 35 KT TUESDAY EVENING.

* SEAS...SHORT PERIOD NORTHWEST SWELL WILL DIMINISH TONIGHT INTO
  SUNDAY BUT WIND DRIVEN STEEP SEAS WILL RANGE FROM 5 TO 8 FEET.
  STEEP SHORT PERIOD SEAS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH TUESDAY WITH SEAS
  PEAKING IN THE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS. SEAS MAY INCREASE
  FURTHER TUESDAY EVENING BECOMING STEEP TO VERY STEEP AT 6 TO 10
  FEET.

* AREAS AFFECTED...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS WILL AFFECT
  AREAS THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY CONDITIONS
  WILL EXPAND NORTHWARD INCLUDE AREAS BEYOND 5 NM FROM SHORE
  SOUTH OF PORT ORFORD AS WELL AS AREAS FROM GOLD BEACH SOUTH
  BEYOND 2 NM FROM SHORE AND NEAR CAPES. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY SEAS
  AND WINDS COULD SPREAD TO ALL AREAS TUESDAY EVENING ALONG WITH
  VERY STEEP HAZARDOUS SEAS BEYOND 10 NM SOUTH OF GOLD BEACH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS AND SEAS WILL CREATE A
POTENTIAL HAZARD TO SMALLER VESSELS AND INEXPERIENCED MARINERS.

A HAZARDOUS SEAS WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF VERY STEEP AND
HAZARDOUS SEAS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED, BUT THE SPECIFIC
TIMING AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN.  IT IS INTENDED TO
PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO
CONSIDER ALTERING THEIR PLANS.
