THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEDFORD HAS ISSUED A HAZARDOUS
SEAS WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO
11 PM PDT FRIDAY. A GALE WARNING HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS GALE
WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 11 PM PDT FRIDAY.

* WINDS...NORTH 15 TO 25 KT INCREASING TO 25 TO 35 KT WITH GUSTS
  UP TO 45 KT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL
  OCCUR BEYOND 5 NM OFFSHORE...AND WILL PEAK IN THE AFTERNOONS
  AND EVENINGS.

* SEAS...CONSISTING PRIMARILY OF SHORT PERIOD WIND DRIVEN
  WAVES....WILL BE STEEP AT 7 TO 9 FEET THIS MORNING. SEAS WILL
  BUILD TO 8 TO 12 FEET THIS AFTERNOON AND BECOME VERY STEEP. THE
  HEAVIEST SEAS WILL OCCUR BEYOND 5 NM OFFSHORE...AND WILL PEAK IN
  THE AFTERNOONS AND EVENINGS THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

* AREAS AFFECTED...ALL AREAS WILL BE IMPACTED BY SMALL CRAFT
  ADVISORY SEAS THIS MORNING. GALE FORCE WINDS WILL OCCUR MOSTLY
  BEYOND 5 NM OF THE COAST SOUTH OF GOLD BEACH...WITH SMALL CRAFT
  ADVISORY WINDS OVER THE REST OF THE ZONE. HAZARDOUS SEAS WILL
  OCCUR MOSTLY BEYOND 5 NM OF THE COAST...WITH SMALL CRAFT
  ADVISORY SEAS OCCURRING OVER THE REST OF THE ZONE.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS AND SEAS WILL CREATE A
POTENTIAL HAZARD TO SMALLER VESSELS AND INEXPERIENCED MARINERS.

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ALONG WITH VERY
STEEP AND HAZARDOUS SEAS ARE IMMINENT OR OCCURRING. OPERATING A
VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY
EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT
THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE
CONDITIONS.

A HAZARDOUS SEAS WARNING MEANS VERY STEEP AND HAZARDOUS SEA
