...STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO THIS
AFTERNOON...

.A LARGE STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE STATE TODAY AND STRENGTHEN
THE SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT OVER THE REGION. THESE STRONG WINDS WILL
MIX DOWN TO THE SURFACE IN THE AFTERNOON WITH WINDS OF 25 TO 35
MPH EXPECTED. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST WILL ALSO REDUCE VISIBILITIES
OVER PORTIONS OF THE LOWLAND DESERTS. .

ISSUED A WIND ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO
7 PM MDT THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...NOON THROUGH 7 PM

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS...HIGH WINDS WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS DRIVING
  CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WILDFIRE DANGER
  IS ELEVATED. SMALL OBJECTS MAY BE BLOWN ABOUT.

* VISIBILITY...AREAS OF BLOWING DUST SWILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES
  DOWN TO A MILE IN DUST PRONE AREAS. PARTICULARLY SENSITIVE DUST
  AREAS ALONG THE INTERSTATE 10 CORRIDOR MAY SEE TEMPORARY DROPS
  IN VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN HALF A MILE.
