...FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO NOON PST
WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Portland has issued a Freezing
Fog Advisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to noon PST Wednesday.

* FREEZING FOG ADVISORY...

* VISIBILITY...Dense freezing fog will likely develop overnight,
  resulting in visibility of one-quarter of a mile or less.

* FOG TIMING...Developing after midnight and continuing through
  late Wednesday morning.

* FREEZING FOG IMPACTS...Ice from fog may develop on area roads,
  creating slippery surfaces. Dense fog will limit visibility and
  enhance travel difficulties.

* AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY...

* AIR QUALITY...Air quality may deteriorate due to an extended
  period of stagnant air conditions.

* TIMING...through Thursday afternoon.

* LOCATIONS...the southern Willamette Valley.

* IMPACTS...Limited ventilation may result in deteriorating air
  quality continuing this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Air Stagnation Advisory indicates that due to limited movement
of an air mass across the advisory area, pollution will increase
to dangerous levels. Persons with respiratory illness should
follow their physicians advice for dealing with high levels of
air pollution.

A Freezing Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving, slow down, use
your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Also,
be alert for ice on surfaces causing slippery roads.
