A STRONG MICROBURST AFFECTED WESTERN AND NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF
SELMER ON SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

SURVEY SUMMARY:
THE FIRST DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED NORTH OF HIGGINBOTHAM RD. AND WEST
OF HIGHWAY 45 WHERE SEVERAL TREES WERE UPROOTED. WINDS APPEARED
TO INTENSIFY, OR ANOTHER MORE POWERFUL MICROBURST IMPACTED, NEAR
THE SELMER COUNTRY CLUB. NUMEROUS TREES AND POWER POLES WERE
DOWNED IN THIS AREA. SEVERAL TREES WERE DOWNED EAST OF HIGHWAY
45, ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 64.

ADDITIONALLY...A SHORT-LIVED CIRCULATION MAY HAVE BRIEFLY FORMED
IN THE STRONG OUTFLOW ON THE COUNTRY CLUB GROUNDS. THIS
CIRCULATION, CALLED A "GUSTNADO", WAS A SMALL FEATURE IN THE
OVERALL WIND FLOW PATTERN IN THE MICROBURST.
