...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS TODAY FOR LA SALLE AND WEBB
COUNTIES...

MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES RANGING FROM 15 TO 20 PERCENT
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE WESTERN BRUSH COUNTRY TODAY. A DRY COLD
FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION...WITH SUSTAINED NORTH WINDS
OF 15 TO 20 MPH...AND GUSTS UP TO 20 TO 24 MPH IN WAKE OF THE
FRONT. THIS COMBINED WITH LOW RH VALUES WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED
FIRE DANGER CONDITIONS LATE THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON.

AFFECTED RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CARE WITH RESPECT TO ALL
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE WILDFIRES. AVOID
THE USE OF WELDING OR GRINDING EQUIPMENT NEAR WEEDS...GRASS AND
DRY BRUSH. IN ADDITION...AVOID PARKING VEHICLES IN TALL...DRY
GRASS AND WEEDS THAT COULD BE IGNITED. DO NOT TOSS CIGARETTE BUTTS
ON THE GROUND. REPORT WILDFIRES QUICKLY TO THE NEAREST FIRE
DEPARTMENT OR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICE.
