FIRE DANGER STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LITTLE ROCK AR
245 AM CST SAT FEB 6 2016

...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF ARKANSAS TODAY...

DUE LARGELY TO DRY CONDITIONS OF LATE AND VERY DRY AIR OVER THE
REGION...FIRE DANGER WILL BE ELEVATED OVER A LARGE PART OF THE
STATE. THE ARKANSAS FORESTRY COMMISSION IS REPORTING THAT THE
ENTIRE STATE IS NOW IN A MODERATE WILDFIRE DANGER.

WHILE WINDS WILL NOT BE VERY STRONG TODAY...AFTERNOON HUMIDITY IS
EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE 30S. DRY CONDITIONS WITH THIS LOW HUMIDITY
WILL ONLY ENHANCE WILDFIRE DANGER...ESPECIALLY THIS AFTERNOON.

OUTDOOR BURNING IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED...AND IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN
SOME AREAS. AS OF THIS MORNING...SEVERAL COUNTIES ARE UNDER BURN
BANS.
