URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Albuquerque NM
223 PM MST Tue Jan 23 2018

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING ACROSS THE NORTHEAST PLAINS DUE TO GUSTY WINDS...LOW
HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE...

.A deepening lee side trough will contribute to gusty southwest
winds across the northeast plains Thursday afternoon and early
evening, with an already dry atmosphere in place. These two
ingredients, combined with cured grasses, above normal
temperatures and a relatively unstable atmosphere will create
the potential for the rapid spread of fire.
