...River Statement For The Alabama River at Selma...

The forecast for the Alabama River at Selma has been revised upward
slightly. However...levels are expected to remain below established
flood stages...and any overflow along the river should be of a minor
nature.

The Alabama River At Selma.
 Latest stage:     31.0 feet at 10 AM Monday.
 Caution stage:    30 feet.
 Flood stage:      45 feet.
 Forecast:         Crest near 32.7 feet Tuesday afternoon
                   and then begin to fall.

* Impact...At 30 feet...Pasture lands below Selma become flooded.

statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued by Tuesday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
