...SLICK TRAVEL POSSIBLE TONIGHT ALONG INTERSTATE 40 FROM GALLUP
TO GRANTS AND U.S. HIGHWAY 550 NEAR THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE...

A cold front approaching from Arizona this evening will move into
western New Mexico tonight and generate a brief period of wintry
conditions along Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 550. Light snow is
expected to develop around Gallup by 9 pm then move quickly east
across the Continental Divide through 3 am. The combination of
cold temperatures, gusty winds, light snow, and low visibility
may produce a period of slick travel conditions between Gallup and
Grants, as well as from near Cuba to Nageezi tonight. The latest
road conditions are available at nmroads.com or by dialing 5-1-1.
