...A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT THE CENTRAL
CITY OF VIRGINIA BEACH...

At 430 PM EDT, thunderstorms with heavy rain were located along a
line extending from near Virginia Beach to near Princess Anne.
Movement was southeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph are possible with these storms.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Virginia Beach, Dam Neck, Macons Corner, Sigma, Sandbridge Beach and
Rudee Heights.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike more than 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
