...HEAVY RAINFALL TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING...

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will affect northwest
Wisconsin late tonight through Wednesday evening, which may lead
to flash flooding.

An area of low pressure is forecast to advance eastward across
Minnesota and Wisconsin on Wednesday, with a weak warm front
lifting northward into central Wisconsin during the afternoon.
Locally heavy rainfall is likely Wednesday, especially from late
morning through late afternoon. Localized flash flooding is
possible from the heavy rain. The area south of a line from
Grantsburg to Hayward to Mercer has the highest risk of heavy
rainfall. Even if rainfall amounts remain in the 1 to 2 inch
range, localized ponding of water in low-lying areas is likely.
