...SLIPPERY MOUNTAIN ROADS IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA THIS
MORNING...

Rapidly falling temperatures Friday night may have allowed some
wet road surfaces to freeze. This is particularly likely on
bridges and other elevated road decks. Light snow showers also
developed overnight near the Tennessee border, which has covered
some roads in that area in snow. For these reasons, drivers are
urged to exercise extreme caution if taking to the road this
morning. Flurries are expected to continue through midday, when
skies will also begin to clear and sunlight will help melt any
snow or ice covering the roads.
