...VERY HEAVY RAIN AND LOCALIZED MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED...

VERY HEAVY RAIN WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALIZED FLOODING WILL AFFECT
THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

CHIPPEWA...EAU CLAIRE...

AT 521 AM CDT...THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE GETTING READY TO
MOVE INTO THE EAU CLAIRE AREA. THESE STORMS HAVE HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING
RAINFALL RATES OF AROUND 2 INCHES PER HOUR. THIS WILL RESULT IN SOME LOCALIZED
FLOODING IN AND AROUND EAU CLAIRE AND CHIPPEWA FALLS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
EAU CLAIRE...CHIPPEWA FALLS...ALTOONA...LAKE HALLIE...LAKE WISSOTA...
CADOTT...FALL CREEK...TILDEN...FOSTER...SEYMOUR...EAU CLAIRE AIRPORT
AND BATEMAN.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
