...STRONG BLIZZARD OVER THE NORTH SLOPE THROUGH THIS WEEKEND...

BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE NOW OCCURING ACROSS THE ARCTIC SLOPE FROM
BARROW EAST. THESE CONDITIONS WILL SPREAD WEST TO WAINWRIGHT
TONIGHT. EAST WINDS WILL BLOW TO 45 MPH AT BARROW AND 55 MPH FROM
PRUDHOE BAY TO KAKTOVIK TONIGHT AND SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE WHITE
OUT CONDITIONS AND HEAVY DRIFTING SNOW. LOW VISIBILITY IN BLOWING
SNOW IS ALSO OCCURING ON THE DALTON HIGHWAY AS FAR SOUTH AS THE
SAG RIVER DOT CAMP.

THE WORST CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE TONIGHT AND SATURDAY BUT
THE BLIZZARD WILL LINGER INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. WINDS WILL
DECREASE SLOWLY ON SUNDAY AND CONDITIONS WILL SLOWLY IMPROVE
SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT.
