HERE IS A SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE...

A 800 AM...A FAST MOVING BAND OF SNOW WAS ENTERING THE COAL FIELDS
OF WEST VIRGINIA. THIS BAND IS CURRENTLY NEAR SUMMERSVILLE...WILL
REACH BECKLEY AROUND 9 AM AND MAKE IT INTO SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA
AROUND 930 AM. WHILE SNOWFALL FROM THIS BAND WILL BE BRIEF...ONLY
LASTING AROUND AN HOUR...VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO AROUND A
MILE AND A QUICK ONE TO TWO INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED. UNTREATED
ROADS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BE SLIPPERY. THIS COMBINED WITH THE LOW
VISIBILITIES WILL MAKE DRIVING CONDITIONS DIFFICULT FOR THE
REMAINDER OF THE MORNING COMMUTE. ALLOW EXTRA TIME FOR A SLOW BUT
SAFE COMMUTE.
