FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180

1. THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IS ISSUING ADVISORIES ON TROPICAL
DEPRESSION GENEVIEVE, LOCATED ABOUT 1260 MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE
HILO ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII. GENEVIEVE IS MOVING SLOWLY
WESTWARD...AND BASED ON THE LATEST FORECAST...IT IS EXPECTED TO
CROSS LONGITUDE 140W INTO THE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CENTRAL
PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER EARLY SUNDAY MORNING.

2. A WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA WITHIN AN ELONGATED SURFACE TROUGH WAS
ABOUT 600 MILES SOUTH OF SOUTH POINT ON THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII.
ONLY A FEW...ISOLATED AND DISORGANIZED THUNDERSTORMS REMAINED NEAR
THIS LOW. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ALSO APPEAR TO BE BECOMING LESS
CONDUCIVE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THIS SYSTEM AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE
WESTWARD AT ABOUT 10 MPH THIS WEEKEND.
* FORMATION CHANCE THROUGH 48 HOURS...LOW...10 PERCENT.

ELSEWHERE...NO TROPICAL CYCLONES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.
