...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 1 PM EDT
SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for freezing rain and sleet, which is in effect
from 6 AM to 1 PM EDT Sunday.

* LOCATIONS...Western and central Mohawk Valley, Helderbergs,
  Schoharie Valley, and eastern Catskills.

* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain and sleet.

* Sleet Accumulations...Less than an inch.

* Ice Accumulations...A coating to less than a tenth of an inch.

* TIMING...Shortly before sunrise and into the early afternoon a
  little sleet will mix with freezing rain.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel due to icy roads.

* Winds...East 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures...In the upper 20s and lower 30s.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.

MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect
from 2 PM Sunday to 9 AM EDT Monday.

* LOCATIONS...Hamilton, Northern Warren and norther Fulton
  Counties of the southern and eastern Adirondacks.

* HAZARD TYPES...Sleet and freezing rain.

* Accumulations...Sleet accumulation of less than an inch.

* Ice Accumulations...Around a tenth of an inch with isolated
  higher amounts.

* TIMING...Mixed precipitation will develop in the early
  afternoon. The precipitation may briefly change to rain in the
  late afternoon, but will transition back to freezing rain in the
  evening.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel due to icy roads. Isolated power
  outages are possible.

* Winds...Southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures...In the upper 20s to lower 30s.

MONDAY...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain, which is in effect
from 6 PM Sunday to 9 AM EDT Monday.

* LOCATIONS...Southern Vermont.

* HAZARD TYPES...Sleet and Freezing rain.

* Accumulations...Sleet accumulation of less than an inch.

* Ice Accumulations...A few hundredths to around a tenth of an
  inch.

* TIMING...A mixture of sleet and freezing rain will move into the
  region in the late afternoon. A period of freezing rain is
  likely Sunday night especially along the eastern spine of the
  southern Green Mountains.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel due to icy roads. Isolated power
  outages are possible.

* Winds...Southeast 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures...In the upper 20s to lower 30s.
