URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...FREEZING RAIN WITH SOME SNOW SHOWERS EXPECTED TONIGHT ON THE
SUMMITS...

.Deep moisture moving onto the Big Island in the trade wind flow
is expected to reach the summits, where temperatures will be below
freezing tonight. Periods of rain will likely lead to some ice on
roads and structures, with a few snow showers possible as well.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO
6 AM HST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected, with a few snow showers possible.
  The ice will result in very slippery conditions. Total ice
  accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

* WHERE...Big Island Summits above 12,500 ft.

* WHEN...Through 6 AM Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for near zero visibilities and
  hazardous travel conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving.
