THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SACRAMENTO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LASSEN NATIONAL PARK AND THE WEST SLOPES OF
THE NORTHERN SIERRA NEVADA ABOVE 5500 FEET FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 1 PM FRIDAY TO 1 PM PST SATURDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 4 TO 8 INCHES ABOVE 5500 FEET. LOCAL
  ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 12 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE HIGHER PEAKS.

* ELEVATION: ABOVE 5500 FEET.

* TIMING: FRIDAY AFTERNOON TO SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE: LASSEN NATIONAL PARK...DONNER PASS...ECHO
  SUMMIT...CARSON PASS.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 5 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

* IMPACTS: TRAVEL DELAYS AND CHAIN REQUIREMENTS LIKELY ACROSS THE
  MOUNTAIN PASSES INCLUDING INTERSTATE 80 AND HIGHWAY 50.
