FLOOD WARNINGS REMAIN IN THE SOURIS RIVER BASIN FOR THE SOURIS
RIVER NEAR TOWNER...BANTRY...AND WESTHOPE...ALONG WITH WILLOW
CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY.

RAINS ACROSS THE NORTH DAKOTA PORTION OF THE SOURIS RIVER BASIN
TODAY ARE NOT GOING TO BE ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE CURRENT DOWNWARD
TREND AT ANY LOCATION CURRENTLY ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. AT THIS
POINT...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR TOWNER IS IN A STEADY FALL AND
EXPECTED TO GO BELOW FLOOD STAGE ON MONDAY. SIMILARLY...THE SOURIS
RIVER NEAR BANTRY WILL FALL BELOW FLOOD STAGE AS EARLY AS
WEDNESDAY WHILE THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR WESTHOPE WILL REMAIN ABOVE
FLOOD STAGE UNTIL SOMETIME IN EARLY AUGUST. ELSEWHERE IN THE
SOURIS RIVER BASIN...WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY CONTINUES TO
FALL AND WILL BE NEAR FLOOD STAGE EARLY NEXT WEEK.
