FLOOD WARNINGS CONTINUE FOR THESE LOCATIONS IN THE SOURIS RIVER
BASIN...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR TOWNER...BANTRY...AND WESTHOPE...AS
WELL AS WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY.

LOWER WATER LEVELS WERE MAKING THEIR WAY INTO THE VELVA TO VERENDRYE
AREA. BY MONDAY...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR VERENDRYE WILL BE NEARLY 3
FEET LOWER THAN THEIR HIGH WATER MARK FOR THIS ROUND OF HIGH WATER.
IN THE TOWNER AREA...THE RIVER WILL BE IN A STEADY FALL BY MONDAY.
FARTHER DOWNSTREAM NEAR BANTRY...IT WILL REMAIN NEARLY STEADY
THROUGH MONDAY BEFORE BEGINNING A STEADY FALL ON TUESDAY. NEAR
WESTHOPE...IT HAS BEEN SLOWLY FALLING FOR SEVERAL DAYS BUT IS
EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE UNTIL NEAR THE END OF JULY.
ELSEWHERE IN THE SOURIS BASIN...WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY IS IN
A VERY SLOW FALL AND WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE FOR SEVERAL MORE
DAYS.
