SUBJECT: CHANGES IN THE NWS RECOGNIZED FLOOD STAGES FOR THE BEAVER
         CREEK NEAR LINTON FORECAST POINT IN EMMONS COUNTY NORTH
         DAKOTA.


THE CITY OF LINTON AND EMMONS COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT HAVE
REQUESTED CHANGES IN THE RIVER ELEVATIONS USED BY THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE TO DEFINE ACTION STAGE AS WELL AS MINOR...
MODERATE...AND MAJOR FLOODING.

THE PREVIOUSLY USED ACTION AND FORECAST ISSUANCE STAGE OF 7 FEET IS
BEING MODIFIED TO A FORECAST ISSUANCE STAGE OF 9 FEET AND AN
ACTION STAGE OF 10 FEET.

THE PREVIOUSLY USED MINOR FLOOD STAGE OF 9 FEET IS BEING REPLACED
BY A NEW DEFINITION OF 12 FEET.

THE PREVIOUSLY USED MODERATE FLOOD STAGE OF 11 FEET IS BEING
REPLACED BY A NEW DEFINITION OF 14 FEET.

AND FINALLY...THE PREVIOUSLY USED MAJOR FLOOD STAGE OF 13 FEET IS
BEING REPLACED BY A NEW DEFINITION OF 16 FEET.

THESE NEW DEFINITIONS WILL BE USED FOR ALL FLOOD
WATCHES...ADVISORIES...AND WARNINGS FOR THIS LOCATION BEGINNING 10
FEBRUARY 2015.
