FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR THESE LOCATIONS IN THE SOURIS
RIVER BASIN...

THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR TOWNER...BANTRY...AND WESTHOPE...AS WELL AS
WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY.

LOWER WATER LEVELS ARE MAKING THEIR WAY INTO THE VELVA TO
VERENDRYE AREA. BY MONDAY...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR VERENDRYE WILL
BE NEARLY 3 FEET LOWER THAN THEIR HIGH WATER MARK FOR THIS ROUND
OF HIGH WATER. IN THE TOWNER AREA...THE SOURIS RIVER WILL BE IN A
STEADY FALL BY MONDAY. FARTHER DOWNSTREAM NEAR BANTRY...THE SOURIS
RIVER WILL REMAIN NEARLY STEADY THROUGH MONDAY BEFORE BEGINNING A
STEADY FALL ON TUESDAY. NEAR WESTHOPE...THE SOURIS RIVER HAS BEEN
SLOWLY FALLING FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE
FLOOD STAGE UNTIL NEAR THE END OF JULY. ELSEWHERE IN THE SOURIS
RIVER BASIN...WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY IS IN A VERY SLOW FALL
AND WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE FOR SEVERAL MORE DAYS.
