...SUMMARY OF FLOOD PRODUCTS AS OF FRIDAY...JULY 11...

FLOOD WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FOR THESE LOCATIONS IN THE SOURIS
RIVER BASIN...

THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR FOXHOLM...TOWNER...BANTRY...AND
WESTHOPE...AS WELL AS WILLOW CREEK NEAR WILLOW CITY.

THE CURRENT 2000 CFS DISCHARGE FROM LAKE DARLING WILL BE CUT SIGNIFICANTLY
ON MONDAY JULY 14. ACCORDINGLY...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR FOXHOLM WILL FALL BELOW
FLOOD STAGE SOMETIME LATE MONDAY TO EARLY TUESDAY. WATER LEVELS IN THE RURAL
MINOT AREA WILL BEGIN DECREASING IN THE FOLLOWING DAYS. FARTHER DOWNSTREAM...IN
THE TOWNER AREA...WATER LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO REMAIN STEADY THROUGH THE THIRD
WEEK OF JULY WHILE STILL RISING THROUGH THE WEEK IN THE BANTRY AREA. VERY HIGH
WATER IN THE WESTHOPE AREA IS NOW WELL BEYOND ITS CREST AND IS IN A SLOW BUT
STEADY FALL. HOWEVER...THE SOURIS RIVER NEAR WESTHOPE WILL REMAIN WELL ABOVE
FLOOD STAGE FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. STRONG RUNOFF FROM THE LAKE METIGOSHE
AREA AND BACKWATER EFFECTS FROM THE SOURIS RIVER HAVE PUSHED WILLOW CREEK NEAR
WILLOW CITY WELL ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. BY MONDAY...WILLOW CREEK WILL HAVE CRESTED
AND BEGUN A STEADY FALL EVEN THOUGH IT WILL REMAIN ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH THE
WEEK.
