...THE BISMARCK WEATHER RADAR WILL REMAIN DOWN THIS WEEK...

The Bismarck Doppler radar, KBIS, suffered a significant mechanical
failure that requires the expertise of a special team to repair,
and which typically takes up to a week to complete. Surrounding
radars that can be used in the meantime are KMBX near Minot, KMVX
at Mayville, KABR at Aberdeen, South Dakota, KUDX near Rapid City,
South Dakota, and KGGW at Glasgow, Montana. The National Weather
Service in Bismarck will also use those surrounding radars to
complete forecast and warning responsibilities this week.
