...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR MUCH OF SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING...

.Critical fire weather conditions are possible Monday afternoon
into Monday evening across much of southwest and south central
North Dakota, including the James River Valley. Minimum relative
humidity values are expected to drop as low as 20 percent, with
west to northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph gusting to 45 mph.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* AFFECTED AREA...Much of southwest and south central North Dakota
  including the James River Valley.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
  difficult to control or suppress.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
