Numerous showers and thunderstorms were covering much of the
region.

For the rest of tonight expect showers and thunderstorms to continue
much of the Dakotas and Minnesota. Some storms across far
southeastern Montana, western South Dakota, and southwestern North
Dakota may become severe. Large hail and damaging winds are the
greatest threats. Overnight lows mainly in the 40s and 50s.

Windy conditions will be the main weather story on Saturday and
Sunday, with very windy conditions likely in the areas near Miles
City, Bowman, and the Black Hills. Expect showers to continue on
and off through the weekend. More severe storms will be possible
across eastern South Dakota and Minnesota on Saturday.
