Across the northern high plains and the southern Canadian prairies
early Friday morning, showers and thunderstorms were ongoing over
southeast Saskatchewan and into the eastern Dakotas. Otherwise it
was partly cloudy, with morning temperatures ranging from the
upper 50s north, to the 60s and mid 70s in the far south.

Another round of severe thunderstorms will commence Friday afternoon
and evening, from the far central and eastern Dakotas into
Minnesota. Highs this afternoon will range from around 80 degrees
north, to near 105 degrees in south central South Dakota.

On Saturday, the severe weather threat will be confined to far
northeast North Dakota and northern Minnesota. Elsewhere expect
dry and generally sunny conditions through the weekend, with
highs in the 70s north to 90s south.
