REGIONAL WEATHER FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BISMARCK ND
1121 AM CDT SAT JUL 4 2015

THIS FOURTH OF JULY MORNING...A STRONG COLD FRONT EXTENDED
SOUTHWEST INTO NORTH CENTRAL MONTANA FROM LOW PRESSURE LOCATED
OVER NORTHERN MANITOBA. ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WAS
DEVELOPING ALONG THIS BOUNDARY IN NORTHERN MONTANA WITH A SURFACE
TROUGH EXTENDING SOUTH INTO WYOMING. SMOKE FROM CANADIAN WILDFIRES
WAS STILL BLANKETING THE REGION.

LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING...LOW PRESSURE AND ASSOCIATED
BOUNDARIES WILL PUSH EAST INTO THE DAKOTAS...TRIGGERING SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE WAY. SOME OF THESE STORMS
COULD BE SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. EXPECT A VERY
WARM DAY...WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE LOWER 80S IN
SOUTHERN MINNESOTA TO THE MID 90S IN EASTERN MONTANA.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH EAST
OVERNIGHT...AND SKIES WILL GRADUALLY CLEAR FROM WEST TO EAST. AS
THE COLD FRONT SWEEPS ACROSS THE REGION...MUCH COOLER
TEMPERATURES WILL PREVAIL OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS THROUGH THE
EARLY PART OF NEXT WEEK.
