Severe winter weather will impact the Northern Plains tonight
into Wednesday.

For the rest of tonight across North Dakota, rain will fall over
the southern Red River Valley, with a mix of rain, snow, and
freezing rain farther north and across the Devils Lake and James
River Valley regions. All snow, heavy at times, is expected
central. Snow will develop into western North Dakota overnight and
increase in intensity Monday morning.

Snow will continue Monday and Tuesday along with colder and
windier weather. Blowing snow will reduce visibility across
western and central North Dakota as the winds increase.

Difficult travel conditions will exist across western and central
North Dakota over the next few days. If you must travel, be sure
to check for the latest weather updates and road conditions, and
make sure you have a winter survival kit.
