An arctic high will continue to slide southeast over the region
this afternoon, and bring more frigid temperatures. Gusty
northwest winds with drifting snow and patchy blowing snow will
affect eastern portions of the region, including the Red River
Valley and much of Minnesota for the rest of the day.

Very cold air with dangerous wind chills will impact the Northern
Plains region through Tuesday morning. However, a temperature
recovery to above freezing temperatures is likely by the middle
to end of this week.
