This morning, areas of patchy dense fog were in southern Canada
and central and eastern areas of Minnesota.

Showers with embedded thunderstorms were in eastern Montana and
eastern South Dakota. Expect thunderstorm activity to increase
through the day, spreading across much of the region. Some storms in
the Dakotas may become severe, with large hail and damaging winds.
Isolated tornadoes will also be possible.
