Much colder air and gusty northwest winds behind a cold front
dominates most of the region.

For the rest of today, a mostly cloudy sky in the morning will
give way to increasing sunshine west, but remaining cloudy in the
east. Cold afternoon temperatures with highs in the lower teens
north to lower 50s in southwestern South Dakota.

After a brief warmup Thursday, colder temperatures will once again
return Friday through Saturday. No significant precipitation is
forecast through the weekend.
