Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms were covering much of
the Dakotas, northeastern Montana, southeastern Saskatchewan, and
parts of western Minnesota. This activity should become more
numerous through the afternoon. Some storms across far
southeastern Montana, western South Dakota, and southwestern
North Dakota may become severe. Large hail and damaging winds are
the greatest threats. High temperatures will mainly range from 55
to 65, but some 70s and 80s will be possible in southern South
Dakota.

Windy conditions will be the main weather story on Saturday and
Sunday, with very windy conditions likely in the areas near Miles
City, Bowman, and the Black Hills. Expect showers to continue on
and off through the weekend. More severe storms will be possible
across eastern South Dakota and Minnesota on Saturday.
