...A STRONG STORM WAS IMPACTING WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA
THIS WEEKEND...

IT WILL BE AN ACTIVE WEATHER WEEKEND ACROSS WESTERN AND CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TODAY WITH
STEADIER RAIN SUNDAY. RAIN TOTALS BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES ARE
POSSIBLE...WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR
DRAINAGE AREAS.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS
EVENING...MAINLY FROM THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE THROUGH THE
JAMES RIVER VALLEY. THE PRIMARY THREATS WILL BE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN.

STRONG NORTH WINDS GUSTING TO 45 MPH WILL USHER COLDER AIR INTO
THE STATE SUNDAY. RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW SUNDAY NIGHT...WITH
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY 2. A
FEW TO SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW COULD ACCUMULATE FROM MOHALL THROUGH
BOTTINEAU...ROLLA AND RUGBY. SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE FORECAST
SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY NIGHT WITH LOWS OF 25 TO 32 DEGREES.
