...HEAVY RAIN THROUGH EARLY EVENING WEST CENTRAL...

AT 345 PM CDT THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
RADAR AND SATELLITE INFORMATION SHOWED AN AREA OF HEAVIER RAINFALL
MOVING THROUGH SOUTH CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA...BOUNDED BY THE
MISSOURI RIVER TO THE EAST AND DICKINSON AND HETTINGER AREAS TO
THE WEST. AS THIS RAIN DEVELOPS AND EXPANDS TO THE NORTH THROUGH
MID EVENING...AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN MAY FALL IN
THIS AREA AND NORTH THROUGH THE WEST END OF LAKE SAKAKAWEA. SOME
HIGHER RAINFALL AMOUNTS TO THREE INCHES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. PLACES
LIKE GLEN ULLIN...BEULAH AND HAZEN...DICKINSON...KILLDEER...MOTT
AND ELGIN ARE EXPECTED TO RECEIVE THIS HEAVIER RAIN THROUGH 9 PM
CDT.

AS OF SATURDAY AFTERNOON...BETWEEN ONE AND TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS
ALREADY OCCURRED ACROSS SOUTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA. AN ADDITIONAL 1
TO 2 INCHES WITH ISOLATED THREE INCH AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY CAUSE
AREAS OF OVERLAND FLOODING...FLOODED ROADS AND RISING CREEKS AND
RIVERS. A FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF WEST AND
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
