URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTER STORM WARNING FOR MOST OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH
DAKOTA TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

.THE FIRST WINTER STORM OF THE SEASON WILL IMPACT WESTERN AND
CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY. A WINTRY MIX WILL
BEGIN THE STORM ACROSS THE SOUTH CENTRAL THIS EVENING. PRECIPITATION
WILL CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW FOR MOST OF THE AREA AS IT SPREADS
ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THROUGH
THE NIGHT. HOWEVER...A MIX IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE JAMES
RIVER VALLEY THROUGH MONDAY.

THE HEAVIEST SNOW THROUGH WEDNESDAY WILL FALL ACROSS CENTRAL
NORTH DAKOTA WHERE 8 TO 12 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...FROM FORT YATES
TO BISMARCK AND BEULAH...THROUGH MINOT AND THE TURTLE MOUNTAINS.
ISOLATED AREAS TO 15 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE.

FARTHER WEST 5 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED...FROM HETTINGER
THROUGH DICKINSON TO WATFORD CITY AND WILLISTON. FOR THE JAMES
RIVER VALLEY...2 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW ARE FORECAST.

BLOWING SNOW WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. THIS STORM WILL PRODUCE SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS TO TRAVEL
AND COMMERCE.
