...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN ATCHISON...NORTHERN HOLT AND SOUTHWESTERN NODAWAY
COUNTIES...

At 530 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Fairfax to near Shubert, moving east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Mound City, Fairfax, Burlington Junction, Maitland, Skidmore, Craig,
Graham, Quitman, Corning, and Indian Cave State Park.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 86 and 107.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northwestern
Missouri.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
