Some scattered cumulus has formed across the area, but it remains
mostly sunny.


.SHORT TERM...(Today and tonight)

Quiet through the short term. Drier air will accompany surface
high pressure with precipitable h20 values between .75-1.0 inch.
Temperatures will be ranging right at seasonal averages.

.LONG TERM...(Thursday through Tuesday)

Quiet pattern will continue through the remainder of the work
week. Surface high pressure will gradually shift east setting up
return flow and modest warm advection Thursday night into Friday
for slightly warmer temperatures.

Long wave pattern amplifies a bit through the period with long wave
ridge building/sharpening north over western North America. Long
wave trough over eastern North America retrogrades and deepens a bit
with building upstream ridge. Flow aloft becomes more northwest over
the Northern Plains.

The GFS and the ECMWF are in reasonable agreement at the beginning
of the period but quickly become out of phase by 12Z Mon over
eastern Canada. Both the ECMWF and the GFS were trending slower and
farther south and west.

High temperatures were increased a degree on Sat and Sun. Also highs
were increased one to two degrees on Tue and zero to three degrees
on Mon from yesterdays run.

North winds through the afternoon will become light and variable
again by early evening. Cumulus will also fade away by late
afternoon and early evening.
