This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are forecast to lift north
from Kansas into south central Nebraska. The vast majority of the
outlook area is under at least a Marginal to Slight Risk of
severe storms this afternoon into the overnight hours. However,
the area of greatest concern in Nebraska is the far southern tier
counties, along the Nebraska-Kansas border. Particularly within
this Enhanced Risk area, some storms will be capable of producing
large hail of at least golf ball size, damaging winds of at least
60 MPH, and even a few tornadoes.

In addition to the severe weather threat, heavy rain is likely at
times this afternoon into tonight across much of the outlook
area, with some places receiving at least 1 to 2 inches, with
localized higher amounts possible. Pockets of flooding and perhaps
flash flooding cannot be ruled out, especially if heavy rain
occurs over some of the same areas that had substantial rain a few
nights ago.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

During the daytime Sunday, isolated to scattered thunderstorm
activity will remain possible. The majority of storms should be
fairly weak, but a few stronger to marginally severe storms are
possible, with the main threat being hail up to the size of
quarters.

Late Sunday night into Monday morning, it could get cold enough
to make frost a possibility, mainly north and west of the Tri
Cities. Sub-freezing temperatures are possible if conditions skies
are able to clear out and winds drop off.

Between Tuesday and Thursday, periodic thunderstorm chances exist
for various parts of the area. It is too early to confidently
assess the potential for any severe storms during this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encourage to report any instances of severe weather
or flooding that might occur this afternoon and tonight.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Thunderstorms, some strong to severe will become more widespread
this afternoon and then gradually spread northward with time into
more of the Nebraska outlook area. A Severe Thunderstorm watch is
in effect for all counties in north central Kansas through 9 PM
this evening. Later this evening it is possible that we could see
another round of strong to severe storms. Some storms both this
afternoon and this evening will be capable of producing large
hail of at least golf ball size, damaging winds of at least 60
MPH, and even a few tornadoes. A strong tornado cannot be ruled
out, especially if a supercell storm is able to track along a warm
front in the area.

In addition to the severe weather threat, heavy rain is likely at
times this afternoon into tonight with some places likely
receiving at least 1 to 2 inches, and localized higher amounts
possible. Pockets of flooding and perhaps flash flooding cannot be
ruled out, especially if heavy rain occurs over some of the same
